I guess the non english speaking guys and girls like to practice their english here, and this fits with the only english in the main chat window rule. Personally, I think it's nice to learn a few non english words whilst playing,
But it's good that the rules have been bent to allow the foreign hellos
I'd love to see the a german voice pack installed for the axis team, So when you press V56 it says großen Schuss
years ago i played on a server did this,
the few words i learned are fading...
But even now if i ever visit germany and get shot by a crazy gunman, i will yell 'Sani, Sani' i (i hope this would get me a medic)
maybe nice admin could try this for a couple of weeks ?
(any language would be good)

großen schuss?
lol, that means: big shot , but more like: large shot
you have to learn german, eno. i will teach you.
but well, idea sounds nice, but also a bit like spam-alarm imo. |

our normal voice chat is also normal use. this new pack will only be abit more used in the beginning. and after 4 times you get little mute anyway (thats also now except for lvl 7 or higher)
so I dont see the problem. sounds as a nice idea |

I don't think there'll be spam.
Of course everything that's new will be tested, but after a bit it'll be back
to normal use, like it is now.
Although I'd have to admit I'm not really a big fan of the change, because
my German sucks pretty much and I might not understand what my
teammates are saying when I"m in the axis team.. but of course I could
learn that.. I wonder what Owl will have to say to this
Nice idea Enogma! |

i googled this and found "Filename: axisallies_final.zip"
http://returntocastlewolfenstein.filefront.com/file/Axis_and_Allies_Sound_Pack;2482
it says it's a RTCW file, so i don't know if it's compatible with NQ, but i guess there are other versions too.
You don't need to know german to use it, as long as you can speak wolfesnstein (V54 , V55 or V31)
...and Elli would help us -
See what i've learned already ----> Ich bin ein großer Schuss
Enrolment has already started at the 'School of Elli'
Unless you learn 1 word a week, Elli puts you on the naughty step and slaps you hard ^^

haha you're right!
i'll teach everyone hard then..
but ok, maybe we can check the soundpack and then let's see if we like it.
we want that everyone is happy..
(but for me no chance needed..)

Interesting idea, I really like German language and wouldn't mind hearing the axis voice chat in it
Like in RtCW, where some of the messages are partially in German, that is nice

I think it would be nice to see more voice chat on server... not necessarily axis or allies, but fun voice chats theres a whole bunch of voice chats just need to find the good ones |

if it's compatible it would be nice to see it tested on the server
i think the sound packs are easy to edit, maybe DA could have a competition to record new voices (in both english and german)
i think the files are .mp3 format so anyone with a mic could record them.
...and the best voices/winners would have there voices on the server ^^
(adode soundbooth can clean any back ground noises, and trim the files to size)
