Dark Alchemy Team Speak Rules
Here are some guidelines on how to behave on Team Speak Server.
As a part of our community, the Team Speak Server follows the same basic rules like the forum and the game server.
Language
So always remember to be kind and watch your language. Avoid to swear and insult. In addition it is also possible that there are younger people on TS. Please keep that in mind.
The language in Team Speak (TS) is english. If all people on TS are speaking same non-english language, it is fine. But if one is there not speaking this language, be kind and change to english.
If you want to speak in your native language, you need to ask an administrator of the channel (if presented), a community member, or majority of the channel users must agree. If not, a TS admin can make a temporary channel for you and for your friends (in case: you dont speak english or you need to explain something). Please do not overuse this benefit, just have fun in General or game channels mainly.
Coming to the server
Choose a nickname similar to the ingame nick. That makes it easier to remember "Who is who".
After connecting say your name (e.g. "Hi XY is here!"). Not all participants can change from ingame to the TS-window. So they only hear: "New friend entered the server"
Technical Stuff
If you can not speak and you just wanna listen, you have to make sure that the others on TS know that. Else they can not consider it.
Use the proper channel. We have different channels in TS for different use. For general talk we have the "General Channel". Here you can talk about everything you want. The "Game Channel" is for in-game communication (Axis // Allies). The "Squad Channel" is password protected and reserved for our Dark Alchemy Knights.
In TS 3 you have the possibility to set hotkeys. They can be very useful in order to execute some commands like mute microfone and change channel (general, game-axis, game-allies). As all other important adjustments you can find this under: settings --> options --> hotkeys.
It is your responsibility to check that you have no echo and feedback sounds. To avoid that, use a headset with microphone and earspeakers. Adjust your voice-activation as low as nescessary but as high as possible. You have always the chance to check your output by using following tool: settings --> options --> capture --> test voice.
More Stuff
It is not welcome to transmit music via TS, besides own handmade music or singing.

The main point is to have fun. Don´t be afraid of the english language. We all learn everyday and improve in this way our capabilities in conversation. We hope to hear you later.
