Teamspeak 3: Quick installation guide
Hello Teamspeak users. This guide is created for quick installations. With this guide we hope you can walk your steps through the latest Teamspeak stuff in no-time!
Download and install Teamspeak 3 latest version: Teamspeak downloads
Let’s get started! Open the setup, choose your desired options and start the installation! Once you completed the setup, start the application.
Go to “connections” at the toolbar. Press “connect” to quick connect to an specific server. Fill in the requested areas. Here are the data to connect to Dark Alchemy server:
- Address: dark-alchemy.com
- Port: 9987
- Nickname: Yourname
- Password: ghost
Done? Press “connect” to connect to our teamspeak server. Enjoy!
Teamspeak 3: Full installation guide
Hello Teamspeak users. This guide is made for users who don’t know anything or less about Teamspeak 3. With this guide we hope you can walk your own steps through Teamspeak 3.
Download and install Teamspeak 3 latest version: Teamspeak downloads
When you’ve done that, start Teamspeak 3. You see when you start Teamspeak 3 for the first time, it will open Teamspeak 3 Setup Wizard automatic.
You can cancel this wizard if you think it’s not much use for you but, I recommend you to follow these steps too. For those who want to follow these steps, just follow the guide. Let’s go!
You see the welcome window and the steps you follow during the wizard. Press “next”.
Step 1. Choose your nickname and press “next” when ready.
Step 2. Choose your microphone setting. Would you like to press the button before you talk or would you prefer to have it all automatic when you talk? Choose your desired option and press “next”.
Step 3. In this window Teamspeak will record your voice to see how loudly you need to speak before it records you. Read the description for full information. Press “next” when ready.
Step 4. Here you may add an hotkey to mute your microphone and/or speaker fast. Press “No Hotkey Assigned” if you want to create the hotkey(s) or just leave if you don’t need it and press “next”.
This were the steps. Press “finish” to quit the wizard.
Now let’s connect to the server!
If you canceled the Wizard it’s not a problem, you can always change the settings later. You are ready to connect to any server. Go to connections at the top of the application in the toolbar.
Now press “connect”. See screenshot below.
Fill in the requested areas and press “connect” when ready.
That’s it! Now you are connected to our server. Invite your friends and have fun! Or.. If you want we have one more thing to go. Add the server to your bookmarks! Follow this guide, I’ll show you how to.
Go to Bookmarks at the top of the application in toolbar. Press “bookmarks” to continue.
In this window you have to press “add bookmark”. You see it adds “New Server”. You can change the name into whatever you want.
Important: Press “apply” to confirm your latest changes and press “OK”. Here an example after you fill in the requested areas. See screenshot 13.
Now press “bookmarks” again and choose “Dark Alchemy” as server to connect.
That’s it! Now you are connected to our server. Invite your friends and have fun!
